Category product development
Our category-specific research and development takes place at our Nestlé Product and Technology Centers (NPTCs). At these centers, our scientific discoveries are translated into products and technologies. Furthermore, we have regional innovation centers in China, India, West Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America and North America to develop products that consider the local context, working in collaboration with the local innovation ecosystem.

Deep tech
The Nestlé Deep Tech Center is where we develop and evaluate cutting-edge technologies to accelerate innovation and shape the future of food. Leveraging advanced robotics and sensor technologies, AI, machine learning and digital twins, we are driving smarter manufacturing, delivering breakthrough consumer experiences, and maximizing our research and innovation capabilities.
Based in Orbe, Switzerland, and complemented by our Deep Tech Hub in Shenzhen, China, our state-of-the-art facility fosters a collaborative working environment, with creative spaces, rapid prototyping labs, automated kitchens, and pilot plants, so innovation moves fast from concept to reality.
