Europe
Nestlé originated in Europe, starting in Switzerland in 1867.
Today, we operate in 50+ different countries across the continent, employing over 80,000 employees who work with iconic brands such as KitKat, Nescafé, Nespresso, Purina, S.Pellegrino and Maggi. We operate 100 different factories across the European continent, working closely with thousands of farmers and communities.
Our Research Centre in Switzerland is part of a network of R&D centers spread across the world that help us to stay at the forefront of food innovation. We also have Business Services Centers in Lviv, Ukraine, and Lisbon, Portugal that support Nestlé entities across the world with services such as accounting, social media and website development.
We champion sustainability and fully support the European Union's ambition to become the first climate-neutral continent in the world - we're on our way to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Switzerland
Switzerland is where Nestlé originated in 1867. It is the location of our global headquarters, and the HQs for Nespresso and Purina Europe. Together we employ over 8,000 people.
We operate in nine different factories across the country, working closely with thousands of farmers and communities. Our Nestlé Research Centre, located in Switzerland, forms part of the broader network of R&D centers spread across the world - helping us to stay at the very forefront of food innovation. Some of our iconic brands include Cailler, Thomy, Henniez, LC1, Frisco, Leisi, and Maggi.
Central and Eastern Europe Region
Nestlé's Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region covers seven countries - Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia - home to 70 million consumers who speak seven different languages. Although the trademark 'Nestlé's Kindermehl' was registered in the region in the late 19th century, the company was officially established in all CEE geographies in the 1990s and became one market in 2020.
We have a diverse portfolio in 11 product categories, with strong global brands accompanied by traditional local brands such as Winiary in Poland, Orion in Czechia, Carpathia in Slovakia and Balaton in Hungary.
Nestlé CEE operates 14 factories, which produce eight different product categories that are sold throughout Europe and beyond.
Türkiye
Since it first introduced baby food products to Turkish consumers in 1875, Nestlé has been a food pioneer in Türkiye, opening Türkiye's first chocolate factory and bringing chocolate spread and instant coffee into the country for the first time. Today, Nestlé provides direct employment to 3,000 people locally and indirect employment to over 7,000, operating in five factories and six distribution centers, with a strong presence throughout Türkiye.
Local brands such as Damak chocolate are part of an 800-product portfolio that is manufactured from 70% local ingredients. Nesquik, Nescafé, Erikli, S.Pellegrino and Polo are also among the many brands enjoyed by Turkish customers.
Asia, Oceania and Africa
Home to nearly 75% of the world's population, this is a region of astounding diversity and limitless possibilities. Spanning three continents, many different time zones and more than 5,000 languages, it's a patchwork of cultures, religious backgrounds and cuisines.
The company's history in the region can be traced back to our beginnings as a condensed milk company in Hong Kong in 1874. Today, one third of our employees representing over 110 nationalities are based in the region, where we operate 123 factories and 6 R&D sites that play a key role in developing innovative products and technologies. We also have different Business Service Centers there that provide key services on IT, procurement and recruitment to the Nestlé Group. Brands such as such as Maggi, Milo, Nescafé and Bear Brand have become iconic household brands in the region for different generations.
Nestlé Asia, Oceania and Africa is focused on sustainability and has adopted recyclable or reusable packaging, improved resource efficiency and invested in renewable energy. The region is also committed to upskilling young people, helping them develop the skills and resilience they need to be successful in the workplace.

Greater China region
Nestlé's Greater China region comprises mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR and Taiwan, and is headquartered in Beijing. This region is Nestlé's second largest market and is one of the fastest-moving food and beverage markets in the world.
We opened our first office in Shanghai in 1908. Since opening our first factory in 1980, in Heilongjiang Province, today we operate 23 factories, three R&D Centers and five product innovation centers.
We currently employ 24,000 colleagues in Greater China region, where over 90% of Nestlé products sold are manufactured locally. Local brands are, among others, Totole, Hsu Fu Chi and Haoji, and global brands include Nescafé, Gerber, Purina, S.Pellegrino and Maggi.
Malaysia
Starting life in 1912 as the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company, Nestlé Malaysia now operates six factories and employs 5,000 people across the country, producing over 500 Halal-certified products.
Key brands such as Milo, Maggi, Nescafé and KitKat have been part of Malaysian households for generations.
Oceania
Headquartered in Australia, Nestlé Oceania spans our operations in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
Nestlé's story in the region dates back to an 1885 trademark registered in New Zealand, and also features the 1934 invention in Australia of the Milo brand, which is now sold in 30 countries worldwide.
Nestlé employs 5,000 people across offices, factories, distribution centers, retail boutiques and laboratories in the Oceania region.
Central & West Africa Region
Nestlé began trading and distributing its products in Ghana in 1957 and established the Nestlé Central and West Africa Region (CWAR) in 2005. It includes 25 countries, with the regional head office and Business Services Centre in Accra and Tema, Ghana, respectively.
Our 5,400 employees are from 35 nationalities and over 85% of Nestlé products sold in CWAR are manufactured locally in our nine factories located in the region. Key Nestlé brands in CWAR include Maggi, Milo, Ideal Milk, Carnation Tea Creamer, Cerelac, Golden Morn, Nescafé, Nido and Pure Life.
East & Southern Africa Region
Nestlé's East and Southern Africa Region (ESAR) comprises 23 countries with a combined population of over 500 million. Headquartered in Bryanston, South Africa, the ESAR region 3,200 people and operate seven factories and distribution centers.
From Farine Lactee, our first product in the region, Nestlé ESAR has expanded its regional portfolio across coffee and beverages, infant formula and dairy. Key brands we sell in ESAR include brands such as Ricoffy, Cremora, Maggi Noodles, Nespray, Nan, Bar One, KitKat, Cerevita and Everyday.
Middle East & North Africa
Nestlé's heritage in the Middle East and North Africa goes back over 100 years to when we first distributed infant cereals in Egypt.
Today, we operate 24 food & beverage factories, seven distribution centers and over 28 offices across the 19 countries of the MENA region. We directly employ more than 12,000 people and provide indirect employment to several thousand more.
Our MENA portfolio includes over 60 innovative product brands such as Bonjorno Café, Coffee-Mate, KitKat, Maggi, Nestlé Fitness, Nestlé Pure Life, Optifast, and Purina Friskies.
Americas
Nestlé has a strong and diverse presence across the Americas, encompassing operations in the United States, Canada, and 11 markets in Latin America. We employ around 85,000 people in the region. We operate 121 factories and eight R&D sites across the U.S. and Chile that support innovation in health science, pet care, and locally relevant products.
Our heritage in the region dates back to the late 19th century, and today, our U.S., Mexican and Brazilian operations rank among Nestlé’s top 10 markets by turnover.
Our beloved brands, including Nescafé, Coffee Mate, Nido, Garoto, Stouffer's, Malher, and Purina, have nourished families for generations across every life stage, from infancy to healthy longevity.

United States of America
Nestlé U.S. is our largest market, generating over CHF 29 billion in sales. It encompasses three key businesses: Nestlé USA, Nespresso, and Nestlé Purina PetCare.
Nestlé in the U.S. spans 36,000 employees, with 112 offices and facilities in 28 states.
97% of U.S. homes purchase our brands and we are dedicated to unlocking the power of food to enhance quality of life for everyone, today and for generations to come.
Brazil
Nestlé's journey in Brazil began in 1921 with its first factory in Araras, São Paulo, dedicated to producing Milkmaid condensed milk - which would later be known as Leite Moça.
Today we employ over 30,000 people in the country, who work across 16 factories and four distribution centers to produce nearly 100 brands in 20 different categories.
It's estimated that Nestlé products are present in 98% of households in Brazil.
Mexico
Nestlé's heritage in Mexico dates to 1935, when we opened our first factory in Jalisco state. Today, it's our fifth biggest market. We employ over 12,500 colleagues here, and operate 18 factories, plus multiple distribution centers and sales offices across the country.
Nestlé sells over 80 brands in Mexico across ten categories, from waters, pet food, coffee and beverages to infant nutrition and health science. Popular favorites include La Lechera, Maggi, Crunch, Abuelita, and Nescafé.
As the number one buyer of cocoa in Mexico, buying nearly 20% of domestic production, we have developed the Nestlé Cocoa Plan to reactivate the country's cocoa sector, increasing productivity while improving living standards for farmers.
Canada
Approximately 3,700 Nestlé employees work in various manufacturing, sales and distribution sites across the country, with the home office located in North York, Ontario.
We have a proud and longstanding history in Canada and understand that we have a powerful role to play in celebrating and championing the diversity of families from coast to coast.
Chile
From a condensed milk factory in Retiro, Nestlé has started its operations in Chile in 1934. Since then, the company has built a presence in the lives of Chilean families and our brands enjoy the number one position in many categories. We employ 8,500 people in the country, with eight distribution centers, nine factories, 54 boutiques. Our products can be found in over 82,000 points of sale.
Our brand portfolio in Chile features 80 brands in 14 categories, with the most well-known names including McKay, Savory, Nescafé, Purina and Maggi.
